Scope of Services

CHERAK provides customised interior décor, furnishing, design, and contracting services, including but not limited to:

• Interior design & space planning
• Custom furniture & décor
• Turnkey interior execution
• In-house manufacturing
• Styling, handover, and extended support

The exact scope of work will be clearly defined in the approved proposal, Letter of Agreement (LOA), drawings, and specifications.

Enquiries & Communication

Project-related communication is governed by the following terms:

• Submitting an enquiry does not constitute a contract
• Projects commence only after formal agreement, written approval, and advance payment
• All official communication must be in writing (email or documented approval)

Any verbal discussions are considered non-binding unless documented.

Design Ownership & Intellectual Property

All creative work produced by CHERAK is protected under intellectual property rights:

• Designs, drawings, layouts, 3D visuals, and documentation remain CHERAK’s property
• Designs cannot be copied, reused, or executed by third parties without written consent
• Unauthorised use may lead to legal action

Ownership remains with CHERAK unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Fees, Payments & Pricing

Project pricing and payment terms are structured as follows:

• Fees, milestones, and payment schedules are detailed in the proposal or LOA
• Work begins only after receipt of the agreed advance payment
• Delayed payments may cause work suspension or revised timelines
• Additional work or variations will be billed separately after written approval

All prices are valid only for the defined scope of work.

Design Changes & Variations

Any changes after approval are managed under the following conditions:

• Approved designs are subject to cost and timeline revisions if altered
• Late-stage changes may impact materials, execution, and schedules
• All variations require written approval before execution

CHERAK is not responsible for delays caused by post-approval changes.

Timelines & Project Execution

Project timelines are estimated based on execution conditions:

• Site readiness and access availability
• Timely approvals and decisions by the client
• Material availability and vendor schedules
• Adherence to payment timelines

Delays beyond CHERAK’s control will not be considered a breach of commitment.

Site Conditions & Client Responsibilities

The client is responsible for maintaining suitable site conditions:

• Unrestricted site access during agreed working hours
• Disclosure of existing structural or service-related issues
• Any concealed defects may result in additional work or cost

Pre-existing defects are excluded unless specifically included in scope.

Materials, Finishes & Samples

Material selections are governed by standard industry practices:

• Samples and mock-ups are indicative representations
• Minor colour, texture, or finish variations are acceptable
• Material availability may vary due to market conditions

Suitable alternatives will be proposed if required.

Warranty & After-Sales Support

CHERAK offers post-completion assurance under defined terms:

• 10-year warranty on workmanship
• Valid under normal usage and proper maintenance
• Warranty void in case of third-party alterations

The warranty excludes wear and tear, misuse, and external damage.

Post-Handover Support

Support after project completion is structured as follows:

• Post-occupancy evaluation may be conducted within 3–6 months
• Issues arising from user modifications are excluded
• Third-party interventions void warranty coverage

Support is limited to original scope execution.

Cancellation & Termination

Project discontinuation is handled under these terms:

• Completed work and design fees are non-refundable
• Vendor and material commitments will be recovered
• CHERAK may terminate services for contractual violations

Termination does not waive outstanding financial obligations.

Limitation of Liability

Legal responsibility is limited as follows:

• No liability for indirect or consequential damages
• Liability restricted to value of services rendered

This applies strictly within the agreed scope of work.

Confidentiality

Project-related information is strictly protected:

• Designs, pricing, drawings, and documents are confidential
• Disclosure requires prior written consent

Confidentiality remains valid post project completion.

Governing Law & Jurisdiction

Legal governance of these terms includes:

• Governed by the laws of India
• Jurisdiction lies with courts in Chennai, Tamil Nadu

Updates to Terms

Terms may be revised periodically:

• CHERAK may modify terms without prior notice
• Updated terms apply upon website publication
